There’s a few phrases people utter in relation to the Dolphins coaching job that really bother me, that tell me they just don’t get it.
One is “Quarterback Whisperer.”
Another is “fix Ryan Tannehill.”
Another is “develop quarterbacks.”
They’re all unicorns. Those guys don’t exist.
If you’re looking for the head coach who says he’ll “develop” Tannehill, or says he’ll “fix” Tannehill, you’ll end up with a guy that’s going to sink the franchise.
News flash: Ryan Tannehill is developed. He’s fixed.
He is what he is.
He’s a good quarterback.
