MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins will honor the Dolphins Cancer Challenge Heavy Hitters Friday night for their amazing fundraising efforts.
315 people will be honored for raising $2,987.551.99 for the 2015 DCC.
Their donations accounted for almost 70 percent of the DCC’s total gift to University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Friday night’s event precedes the start of the DCC VII campaign, with two Fall Family Fests on Oct. 29 in the lead up to DCC VII on February 11, 2017.
CBS4 is a proud corporate sponsor of the event, which includes five bike routes through South Florida, a run/walk 5K, a finish line celebration concert as well as a Dolphins Youth Ride and a Youth 5K for kids ages 14-17.
