Dolphins Looking For Guarded Improvement

The Dolphins have brought in a lot of newcomers, veterans and rookies alike, in the offseason, but they’re also looking to get better simply through the improvement of some of their younger players.

Perhaps nowhere on the roster is that more applicable than at guard, where the hope is that third-year player Dallas Thomas and second-year player Billy Turner can take a big step in 2015.

Based on the depth chart at the end of last season, the Dolphins have openings at both guard spots in the starting lineup. Mike Pouncey and Daryn Colledge started the 2014 season finale against the New York Jets, but Pouncey is headed back to center and Colledge has retired after nine seasons in the NFL.
