MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team defeated VCU, 4-1, for its second consecutive victory, at Middle Tennessee's Adams Tennis Complex Saturday.
The win for the Lady Tigers (10-5) is their seventh in the last eight matches. The loss for VCU (10-6) is its fourth straight.
"This was another great day for the Tigers," said Memphis head coach Hayden Perez. "We faced a very tough opponent in VCU. Their level forced us to play at a high level. This group is competing their best at the right time of the year.
