TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Memphis softball team was unable to overcome early scoring by USF and ultimately fell by a score of 6-0 Saturday evening. The Tigers drop to 23-22 overall and 4-7 in American Athletic Conference play.
Kyler Trosclair led the game off with a single and that proved to be the lone Tiger hit until Addison Maxwell's single up the middle in the sixth inning. In between the Tiger hits, USF put up three runs in the bottom of the third.
The Bulls tacked three insurance runs in the bottom half of the sixth and held the Memphis offense scoreless in the seventh en route to the win.
