MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth but came up just short, losing 9-6 Friday at FedExPark. The loss for Memphis evened the series between the Tigers (29-26, 8-15 AAC) and Green Wave (26-29, 12-11 AAC), setting up the rubber match Saturday at 1 p.m.
Prior to Saturday's 1 p.m. series finale the Tigers will honor their six seniors – Andy Bowman, Chris Carrier, Ryan Garner, Brandon Grudzielanek, Zach Schritenthal and Trent Turner.
Memphis went into the bottom of the ninth trailing 9-1 before rattling off five runs on six hits and two walks.
