Redshirt sophomore defensive back Tyrez Lindsey became a contributor for the Memphis defense in his first season of action in 2017. He had 39 total tackles – third among the Tigers defensive backs – in 11 appearances and logged seven multi-tackle performances.
Lindsey saved his best for the end of the 2017 campaign. He had six total stops in the Tigers' regular-season finale victory over ECU to wrap up a perfect 7-0 record at the Liberty Bowl.
