Maryland football re-converts former 3-star recruit Shane Cockerille to quarterback

In the Maryland football team's depth chart for its game against Penn State on Saturday, former three-star quarterback turned fullback Shane Cockerille is once again listed as a quarterback.

The depth chart, released Monday, shows Cockerille and Caleb Rowe as co-backups to starter Perry Hills, apparently relegating transfer Daxx Garman to fourth string.

Cockerille took the first snaps of his collegiate career under center against Ohio State in Maryland's last game. Lining up mostly as a fullback this year after playing some special teams as a redshirt freshman a year ago, Cockerille has no carries and one catch for 7 yards.
