Maryland Croatian freshman Ivan Bender has reportedly been serving a six game suspension from the beginning of the season, and was unable to travel with the team to Cancun because of this. The suspension may stem from Ivan Bender’s association with the Croatian professional basketball team, KK Split, where he was a member of the club's junior team. Theoretically he should be eligible to return for the game verse North Carolina on December 1st.
