With every Terrapin starter registering at least one hit, Maryland banged out a season-high 19. Kevin Smith had two hits, including his seventh homer. Tim Lewis and Jamal Wade each had three hits, and Mike Shawaryn tied his own season wins record with victory #11.

LaMonte Wade drove a leadoff a ball of the left-center field wall for a double. He went to third when Kevin Smith hit a fly out to deep center. Wade then scored on a shallow single by Brandon Lowe.
Ohio State answered in the bottom of the inning.
