Johnny Jordan commits to Maryland football: Terps land 3-star center

Gonzaga High School (D.C.) center Johnny Jordan has committed to Maryland, he announced Saturday on Twitter.

Jordan is the No. 8 player in D.C. and the No. 14 center in the class of 2017, according to the 247Sports Composite. He also received offers from Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Virginia Tech, among other schools.

Jordan was named the offensive line MVP at the Washington, D.C. regional camp for Nike's The Opening in May. He's an interior lineman – probably a guard or a center at Maryland – but he's big, strong and had a number of Power 5 options.
