Amba Etta-Tawo transferred from the Maryland football program in March, and now he’s setting records at Syracuse.

The graduate transfer is enjoying more success with the Orange than anyone could have predicted. Etta-Tawo appeared to be an odd man out in the Terps receiving corps, but now he has 400 more receiving yards than the ACC’s second-leading pass-catcher. He was added to the Biletnikoff award watch list last week, given out to the nation’s top receiver, but his best performance was still in front of him.

Etta-Tawo set a program record with 270 receiving yards in Syracuse’s win over Connecticut on Saturday, a number comfortably higher than the 216 yards he finished with in his last season at Maryland.
