BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – It is one of the toughest swings in Conference USA, at Middle Tennessee and at UAB. Both the MT Blue Raiders and the Blazers of Alabama-Birmingham are both very good on their home courts and this was the challenge for Marshall’s undefeated 4-0 C-USA team heading into the weekend.
On Thursday, Middle Tennessee beat the Herd 69-57, breaking the Herd’s 37-game streak of scoring 70-or-more points per game streak. At the Gene Bartow Arena in downtown Birmingham Saturday, the Herd ran into a team who likes playing against Marshall, as they won for the eighth time in a row over Marshall.
