New North Texas football coach Seth Littrell has yet to play or coach against a West Virginia-based team, but he has at least two connections to this state.
First and foremost, he and WVU coach Dana Holgorsen are branches of the Mike Leach coaching tree. They are both regarded as astute offensive minds.
Or of the same offensive mind, you might say.
Littrell worked as running backs coach at Texas Tech from 2005-08, which put him working for Holgorsen for three of those years. Holgorsen was a co-coordinator in 2005-06 and coordinator in 2008.
They got along nicely, Littell said.
