HUNTINGTON — His start looked ugly, and his team went as run-heavy as it could get by with, but Marshall freshman quarterback Garet Morrell received some positive reviews Saturday night against Louisville.
One such endorsement came from U of L coach Bobby Petrino, after his Cardinals rung up a 59-28 decision over the Thundering Herd. A quarterback as a player and a quarterback coach in his career, Petrino has seen some youngsters thrown into some hot fires.
“I think he did a really nice job,” Petrino said. “He took care of the ball and was very patient.
