After firing women’s soccer coach Michael Swan, Athletic Director Christian Spears announced on Monday, Oct. 30, that the University will look for a new coach. The search will extend nationwide for Swan’s replacement.
Spears said that the focus is finding a candidate to take the women’s soccer program to a championship level in the Sun Belt while also building excitement at Hoops Family Field and within the community.
“The opportunity to be synergistic with our men’s soccer program, as well as meeting our goal to build a championship-level program, will guide our hiring process,” Spears said.
He went on to say, “We appreciate coach Swan for his years of service to our program and university, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
