In a second half shutout, the Marshall Men’s Soccer Team (13-2, 6-2 Sun Belt) defeated Old Dominion University (5-5-5, 2-5-1 Sun Belt) last Friday, Oct. 27, in Norfolk, Virginia, for their last regular season travel match.
“First of all, I’d like to say congratulations to Alan Dawson on a fantastic career,” head coach Chris Grassie said.
The Monarchs will be losing Dawson, who is retiring after 36 years of coaching collegiate soccer.
“He’s been a champion many times, and his teams have always been really tough to play against. He’s been a great servant to the game and to ODU.
