Marshall guard Jon Elmore added another award to his collection Wednesday, being named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 11 first team. He is the second Marshall player behind James Kelly in 2016, to be named to the All-District first team.
Elmore joins Louisiana Tech’s Erik McCree, Middle Tennessee’s JaCorey Williams and Reggie Upshaw and Rice’s Marcus Evans in that group.
Elmore, also a 2017 All-Conference USA first-teamer, averaged 19.7 points per game and 5.9 assists per game, while leading the team in field goals (210), free throws (188) free throw attempts (233) and steals (40).
