Riding high on a nine-game winning streak, it seems the only things that can beat Marshall’s baseball team are the weather and maybe Wake Forest.
The Thundering Herd, coming off a three-game sweep at Western Kentucky, are scheduled to take on the Demon Deacons on Tuesday evening in Beckley. First pitch at Linda K. Epling Stadium is set for 6 p.m.
Admission is $5.
This is the last scheduled midweek game for the Herd (30-17), but the weather may intervene. As of Monday evening, Tuesday’s forecast called for a 90 percent chance of rain.
Wake Forest is 31-20, having just won two of three at Virginia Tech.
