SOUTH CHARLESTON — Marshall fans who want to see Marshall freshman point guard Jarrod West of Clarksburg Notre Dame in action can do so Friday night at the West Virginia North-South All-Star Classic Basketball Game at the South Charleston Community Center. The skills competition – featuring a free throw shooting, 3-point shooting, and slam dunk contests – will begin at 6 p.m., with the game set for 7:30 p.m. WVMetroNews will broadcast the game statewide for the first time, and the air time is set for 7:06 p.m.
West, already practicing the past two weeks with his Marshall teammates at the Cam Henderson Center, is a 5-10 point guard who will be a true freshman this year for the Thundering Herd of Coach Danny D’Antoni.
