MUBB-Providence Live Updates: Golden Eagles look to punch their ticket to the Big East Tournament finals

NEW YORK — Just over 20 hours removed from beating Villanova 71-65 in an overtime classic at Madison Square Garden, No. 3 seeded Marquette men’s basketball takes the floor again to face the seventh-seeded Providence.

The Friars, who are still playing for an NCAA tournament berth, will be attempting to reach the Big East final for the first time since 2018. The Golden Eagles are trying to reach their second tournament final in a row after winning their first championship last year.

Marquette will be without starting point guard Tyler Kolek for the fifth-straight game.
