United's Premier League 2 fixtures 2016/17

Manchester United are competing in the inaugural Premier League 2 in the 2016/17 season as clubs adapt to the new Under-23 format.

As in 2015/16, when the Reds went on to win the Under-21 title, the league campaign started with a fixture against Leicester City. The season is set to end with two huge games against North London teams - Arsenal away and Tottenham at Old Trafford, with the Spurs game now scheduled for 15 May. The match was initially postponed due to the sad death of Tottenham's Under-23 coach Ugo Ehiogu.

The Reds also took part in the Premier League International Cup but were beaten by Porto at the quarter-final stage.
