Nottingham Forest are pressing to sign Matt Turner from Arsenal after making an offer.
This comes as it was reported that the Premier League side were eyeing a swoop for the USMNT goalkeeper this summer.
Keylor Navas returned to PSG upon the conclusion of his loan spell last season, leaving Forest with a gap to fill.
With just a week to go until the Premier League season begins, they are upping their search for a new goalkeeper as they have bid for Arsenal's Turner.
Forest also want to re-sign Dean Henderson on loan from Manchester United once he is fully fit.
