Last week all the talk was about who would triumph between Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa in the battle of the strikers but there was only one winner at the Etihad.
Costa put on the best centre-forward display I have seen in a long time. He scored a goal, made another and despite being up against three defenders, Costa bullied City and ran them ragged.
He is fit and firing and has completely changed his mentality — I’d love to know what Conte has done with him!
Could you imagine the backlash if Costa had gone in for a challenge as bad as Aguero’s on David Luiz?
