Manchester United step up security after bomb attack outside Besiktas

Manchester United ramped up security for yesterday's game against Tottenham in the wake of the Besiktas atrocities as Jose Mourinho's side wait to discover if they will be paired with the Turkish club in the Europa League draw.

Extra searches were in operation around the ground following the double car bomb and suicide attacks in Istanbul on Saturday night that left 38 people dead and 166 injured.

Besiktas are one of the 14 clubs United could face in Monday's noon draw for the last 32 of the Europa League, having played their Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce in the group stage.
