Manchester United first-team coach Kieran McKenna is set to be named as the new Ipswich boss, becoming the second member of Ralf Rangnick's backroom staff to leave since his arrival after Michael Carrick

Manchester United first-team coach Kieran McKenna is in advanced talks to take over as manager of Ipswich and is set to be joined by his Old Trafford colleage Martyn Pert, Sportsmail understands.

Should he complete the move, McKenna would be the second coach to leave the United following Rangnick's appointment. It comes after Michael Carrick left the club earlier this month following the German's appointment.

Ipswich, one of the top teams in England in the 1980s, are in 12th place in the third-tier League One and sacked manager Paul Cook earlier this month.
