Diego Simeone was struck by plastic bottles as he ran down the tunnel at Old Trafford following Atletico Madrid's triumph over Manchester United on Tuesday night.
Simeone's side knocked United out of the Champions League and moved into the quarter-finals of the competition after a 41st-minute header Renan Lodi gave them a 1-0 (2-1 aggregate) win.
Following the final whistle, the Atletico manager sprinted down the touchline and headed for the dressing room as usual. However, the United fans decided to launch bottles at the 51-year-old.
