Manchester United 4-0 Feyenoord: Wayne Rooney becomes club's all-time scorer in Europe before Juan Mata and Zlatan Ibrahimovic add gloss to win

Wayne Rooney became Manchester United's all-time leading goalscorer in European competition with a sublime finish against Feyenoord on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils skipper scored his 39th goal on the continent with a delightful chip to beat Brad Jones in the Feynoord net to put Jose Mourinho's side ahead.

Juan Mata doubled the hosts' advantage midway through the second half before Zlatan Ibrahimovic added a third, somehow managing to put the ball through Jones' leg at his near post. Jesse Lingard added a fourth in injury-time.
