Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov expertly re-enacts scene from The Godfather to promote charity match against Luis Figo

Dimitar Berbatov could be destined for a new career in acting when he retires from football after a video emerged of him expertly portraying a scene from his favourite movie, The Godfather.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand once claimed Berbatov would make a perfect mafia boss in the iconic film and the 36-year-old striker appears to agree after taking on the role of Don Vito Corleone, famously played by Marlon Brando in the 1972 Oscar winner, to promote an upcoming charity match.

The former Red Devils striker, who is currently without a club after leaving Greek club PAOK last summer, also roped in his seven-year-old daughter to help out with the video, which is being used to promote his game against Luis Figo's All-Star XI on June 14.
