Manchester City outcast Eliaquim Mangala is still hopeful of convincing manager Pep Guardiola that he can have a future in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old was shipped out on loan to Spanish side Valencia at the start of the season after being deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.
City have been boosted by the return to fitness of captain Vincent Kompany in recent weeks and this was likely to have an impact on whether Guardiola would bring Mangala back at the end of the campaign.
Even so, speaking to L'Equipe, the France international is still confident of making the most of his time in England and convincing the City hierarchy he can play at the highest level.
