Ederson, Firmino and Willian on the bench? Brazil can field a reserve team better than England's first XI at the World Cup

Brazil is a nation that has reached the top pinnacle of football on numerous occasions.

Originally known for its 'Samba football' style, the Selecao were a truly formidable force, winning three out of four World Cups between 1958-70.

The South American country won football's biggest prize in 1994 and 2002 to make it a total of five World Cup crowns - a feat no other team has achieved.

Brazil have failed to emulate the same high standards since and although they made the semi-finals of the 2014 tournament which they hosted, they were knocked out with a humiliating 7-1 defeat at the hands of eventual winners Germany.
