In handing out grades, I look at three things for each school – need, speed and balance. I also prefer to see teams do well in the trenches and get a quarterback. This game can evolve all it wants, but it’s still won and lost with the big guys along the lines and a quarterback running the show.

Quick take: No one recruits like Nick Saban. It’s all about consistency and doing it year after year after year, and Alabama has done it once again. The secret sauce to the success is recruiting the trenches.
