The hype ends for signees, and now it's time to sweat: Ron Higgins

You can tell Central Florida's Scott Frost has been a college head football coach for just a couple of months.

Because the 41-year old Frost, who quarterbacked Nebraska to the 1997 national championship and as Oregon's offensive coordinator tutored 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, said something Thursday that was way too honest.

He said something that many major college coaches would like to say, but don't have the guts because they fear it would hurt their recruiting.

Frost obviously felt he didn't have anything to lose, since he took over a 0-12 program and somehow landed the second best recruiting class behind Peach Bowl champ Houston in the American Athletic Conference.
