BATON ROUGE – LSU basketball head coach Johnny Jones announced on Tuesday that all proceeds from the 2016 Shaquille O’Neal and Johnny Jones Golf Classic will be donated to the area flood relief efforts.
The golf classic is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16, at Carter Plantation in Springfield. Entry fee for the event, presented by Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, is $1000 per team or $250 per golfer. Hole sponsorships are available for $500.
“There were some questions as to whether or not we should even have the tournament this year because of the flooding,” Jones said.
