BATON ROUGE -- The Tigers roared back from a 14-point first half deficit to defeat Mississippi State 88-77 and take sole possession of first place in the SEC in the Maravich Center Saturday evening.
Freshman guard Antonio Blakeney scored a career-high 31 points in the victory and senior guard Keith Hornsby scored 25. Freshman point forward Ben Simmons flirted with a triple double as he ha 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
With the win, LSU improved to 15-8 and 8-2 in conference while Mississippi State fell to 9-13, 2-8.
