Ben Simmons had a somewhat quiet performance by his own standards during the LSU Tigers’ 85-67 upset victory over the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday night.
Fortunately for LSU, quiet by Simmons’ standards means 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals, while throwing down thunderous dunks, dominating Kentucky’s big men and dishing out dimes like a 6-foot-10, 225-pound forward should not be able to.
Simmons only took six shots on the night; five during the game, and one at Kentucky fanboy and notorious bandwagoner Drake on Instagram after the game.
Simmons’ caption is a play off of the lyrics of the Toronto rapper’s son “Scholarships”, in which he states ‘I rock Kentucky blue on these’.
