AUBURN, Ala. -- LSU defensive back Sevyn Banks, who was carted off the field after being injured on the opening kickoff against Auburn on Saturday night, was "alert and mobile" and cleared to leave the hospital after undergoing a series of tests, the school announced.
Banks, who was taken to East Alabama Medical Center, was set to return to Jordan-Hare Stadium "under the care of team doctors," according to the Tigers.
Banks was hurt on the first play of Saturday's game. He was strapped onto a stretcher and carted off the field after the entire team came onto the field in support.
