LSU releases offensive stats following Tigers’ second spring scrimmage

LSU held its second spring scrimmage Saturday, and the school provided statistics to prove it.

After the scrimmage, Tigers coach Ed Orgeron listed offensive statistics from the game, which he said was won by the offense over the defense for the second week in a row.

Of note, senior quarterback Danny Etling took most of the first-team reps and running back Derrius Guice did not play because of an ankle injury. Darrel Williams, as a result, took the majority of the carries.

Based on the numbers provided, it appears LSU ran the ball far more than it in throwing it.
