On Friday morning, ESPNU announced that former LSU quarterback Bert Jones will be on of 14 players to be inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame this December.
The announcement occurred as part of the events leading up to Monday’s national championship between the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide.
LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said the following in a press conference, per SEC Country:
“We are very excited for Bert,” LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said in a press release. “His accomplishments both on and off the field are something that LSU is very proud of.
