Ben Simmons shined once again on Monday for the LSU basketball team, delivering the first 20-20 performance of his collegiate career.
It was not enough for the Tigers to prevent their first loss of the season, however, falling to the Marquette Eagles in a narrow 81-80 defeat in the semifinals of the Legends Classic.
Simmons, who finished the game with a final stat line of 21 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and two steals, will have another opportunity to lead the LSU basketball team to victory on Saturday in front of a packed house at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
