Leonard Fournette did not scrimmage with the rest of the LSU football team Tuesday but coach Les Miles said the junior Heisman Trophy candidate is out of his walking boot and is expected back when the team returns to practice Thursday.
The Tigers went through their final scrimmage, more than 100 plays, before taking a day off Wednesday. Fournette has been out for a week with a "slight" ankle sprain.
"He was running today and yesterday," Miles said of Fournette. "The next time we take the field my guess is he will be practicing.
