In Jared Poche's record win for LSU, 'you could tell they were uncomfortable'

OMAHA, Neb. -- Jared Poche became the winningest pitcher in LSU history by posting one of the more efficient outings in his four-year college career.

That he did it in a College World Series elimination game with the season on the line Wednesday only added to the moment. The senior left-hander pitched into the ninth inning of a 7-4 victory against Florida State that advanced the Tigers to a 2 p.m. Friday semifinal against top-ranked Oregon State.

"If you would have told me four years ago before I started my career at LSU that in four short years that you're going to be in Omaha and you're going to break the all-time wins record, there's no way I would have believed that," Poche said.
