Ed Orgeron not nervous about being head man at LSU, but knows he 'better win some games'

LAROSE -- Ed Orgeron knows adversity, but in overcoming life's hurdles he was finally able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming the head coach at LSU.

"The spirit and passion that he brings is really contagious and our future for our football program is in great hands," LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said as he introduced Orgeron Friday night at the Coach O Day banquet at the Larose Civic Center. "I have nothing but the highest confidence in his ability to lead the Tigers not only to wins over Alabama, but to win trophies and win championships.
