LSU finishes off DH sweep with a 9-1 win to take series from Georgia

When Alex Lange was elevated into the front-of-the-rotation spot for No. 2-ranked LSU, there was a lot of chatter wondering how Jared Poche would handle being moved into a new role. He provided a pretty resounding answer on Saturday.

Poche was as dazzling as he has been all season in the second game of a doubleheader against Georgia at Foley Field as the Tigers rolled to a 9-1 victory and completed a sweep while also claiming the series victory.

Pitching in the No. 2 spot for the first time this season, Poche logged 7 innings and gave up four hits and just one run on a solo homer to improve his record to 7-1.
