LSU beats Auburn to Open Women's College World Series

LSU opened its College World Series campaign with a dominant 6-1 win over Auburn on Thursday.

The pitching and offense, which came alive during the Super Regional victory over Arizona, was present in the victory over Auburn.

In the circle, Carly Hoover, threw a complete game allowing just one earned on six hits while striking out five.

The Tiger offense struck early with a Bianka Bell solo home run to give LSU a lead in the top of the first.

In the fourth, LSU would widen the lead on a two run double from Savannah Jaquish which plated Bianca Bell and Bailey Landry.
