The Loyola men’s basketball team (2-0) defeated the University of Illinois Chicago 70-63 Nov. 12. Junior forward Philip Alston led the team in scoring with 18 points in his first full game with the Ramblers.
UIC hit the ground running to start the game, winning the tip-off and scoring a layup on its first possession. The Flames contained Loyola to a mere two points in the first two minutes of the game while scoring five more for a 7-2 score.
