In addition to the preseason poll, the WCC also announced the preseason all-conference squad. Junior outside hitter/setter Sarah Sponcil and senior outside hitter Jamie Lea both earned spots on the team.
“Making preseason all-conference squad is great, but there’s always more work to be done and more areas to get better and improve on,” said Sponcil. “I’m very excited about this team. Every single one of my teammates brings their own unique talent and character to the court. I believe our team has more depth and is more physical this year.”
Sponcil hopes to improve upon her impressive results last season.
