When asked if he plans to change anything in the upcoming game, Head Coach Tom Black said, “The team has done an incredible job of continuing to grow and improve each match. They’ve used the obstacles of the season to become a stronger, better unit.”
Black is correct that the team has grown since their loss against USD, showing they can rally from a heartbreaking loss.
Since the game against USD, the Lions have had exemplary performances by junior outside hitter Sarah Sponcil and freshman setter Savannah Slattery, each totaling 18 and 17 kills respectively against Saint Mary’s College.
