Former President James Ramsey is now the subject of an Internal Revenue Service audit.
University spokesperson John Karman confirmed the audit Saturday, saying U of L received the request July 7. The audit will review the financial contracts of Ramsey, former provost Shirley Willihnganz and the head coaches of the men’s basketball, women’s basketball and football teams.
Insider Louisville reported the story Friday, citing a conversation between an IRS officer and U of L’s tax manager.
