There has been a double shooting at Cardinal Village apartments, according to U of L’s RAVE alert system.
RAVE reported the shooting at 2 a.m., and said no students were involved. The University of Louisville Police Department and Louisville Metro Police have responded to the crime, but LMPD will handle the investigation. The suspects are currently unknown.
The shooting comes days before the beginning of freshman orientations, a series of introductory camps welcoming thousands of students to U of L’s campus.
Crime brought gloom to the campus during spring break, with two robberies, one involving an assault, happening within a week of each other.
